Sauce King NYC™ 2025 Entry

Enter your shelf-stable sauce, rub, marinade, or condiment in New York City’s premier seasoning competition. The sky is the limit!

Registration closes on August 25, 2025. Products must be received in New York City by September 5, 2025.

After registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email with detailed entry submission and shipping instructions.

Award Categories include: Hot Sauce, BBQ Sauce, Everything Sauce, Marinades, Rubs, International Sauce, and more. If your product deserves recognition in a category not listed, you can suggest a category on your entry form.

Domestic and international shelf-stable entries are welcome. If registering outside of the United States, please email foodkarma@gmail.com for a PayPal payment link.

How to Register for Sauce King NYC™

  1. On this screen, choose the number of shelf-stable sauces, rubs, marinades, and condiments you will be entering and begin checkout/submission. The deadline to register shelf-stable products is on or before September 5, 2025. Details on registering fresh and non-shelf-stable products will be announced soon.
  2. Register and pay based on the number of products you are submitting. You may submit more than one entry on a single form. Sauce King NYC™ welcomes entries from producers outside the U.S. If you are registering outside the U.S., please contact us, and a PayPal link will be provided for registration.
  3. Once registration is complete, you will receive a Registration Confirmation email.
  4. Submit registered entries to Sauce King NYC™ via mail by using the instructions below. Entires must be received by September 19, 2025.

How to Submit Entries to Sauce King NYC™

After registering for Sauce King NYC™, it’s time to get your entries to the judges in New York City. Shelf-stable entries may be shipped, but fresh or non-shelf-stable products must be dropped off in person. Do not ship fresh and non-shelf-stable Sauce King NYC™ entries. Registration and drop off information for fresh or non-shelf-stable products will be announced soon.

  1. Shelf-stable entries first must be registered on or before September 5, 2025.
  2. Prepare registered shelf-stable entries for shipping.
    • Include 2 containers of each submission
    • All items must be standard consumer sizes in their original retail packaging.
    • Entries must be received by September 19, 2025.
    • Do not ship fresh and non-shelf-stable products. For instructions on Submitting Fresh and Non-Shelf-Stable Entries, check back soon.
  3. In the shipping box, also include a printout of your Registration Confirmation email or the following information:
    • Product name and Entry Category for each registered entry
    • Contact Information: Producer, contact name, contact email, contact address
  4. Ship shelf-stable entries to:

  5. Entries must be received by September 19, 2025. You will receive a confirmation email when we receive your entries.

Sauce King NYC™ Award Categories

Sauce King NYC™ judges recognize products in many categories, such as: Best Hot Sauce, Overall BBQ Sauce, Innovative BBQ Sauce, Grill Sauce, International Sauce, Everything Sauce, Marinade, Condiment, Rub, The Duane Joseph Grand Palate Award, and more. If your product deserves recognition in a category not listed, you can suggest a category on your entry form. Sauce King NYC™ judges will consider your recommendation when determining award winners.

Category winners will be announced in October. Winners will have the opportunity to participate in Food Karma Projects events, including Pig Island NYC™ and Brisket King® NYC, as well as the opportunity to receive media coverage in NYC BBQ and other publications.
